A four-part community choir in Henleaze, Bristol
Voices raised together, note by note.
The Northavon Singers is a small, friendly SATB choir of around fifteen voices. We sing at concerts, carol services and care homes across North Bristol — and we're always glad to welcome a new voice to the stave.
Who we are
A small choir with a big welcome
We're a mixed-voice choir made up of Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Basses — neighbours, retirees, teachers and students who share a love of singing together. No audition anxiety, no grand ambitions beyond singing well and singing kindly.
The top line — melody, brightness, and the notes that carry over everything else.
The inner harmony — warmth and texture that holds the sound together.
The bridge between the low and high lines, often the hardest-working part.
The foundation — the low notes everyone else sings on top of.
What we do
On stage, and in the community
Beyond our two or three main public concerts a year, we sing Christmas carols for local residential and nursing homes, and take on ad hoc events by request — weddings, fêtes, and community gatherings across North Avon and Bristol.
Where we can, profits from our concerts go to local and national charities. Music, for us, has always been something to share.
Registered Charity No. 292782

"Singing together is one of the few things left that asks nothing of you except to show up and listen to the people beside you." — A Northavon Singer
